One question I’m often asked about boudoir photography is, “Will my photos appear on your website or social media?”
I do not share your photos without your consent, and a significant portion of my clients choose to keep their session photos private. The photographs you see on my website or social media accounts are of women who gave their full consent to me sharing their images.
I love sharing boudoir photographs, but your privacy is my top priority. If you do not want your photographs shared, then I will not share them.
When you book a session with me for sensual boudoir photography, we discuss your preferred level of privacy. Some ladies would rather that no photographs be shared online at all. Some clients allow me to share their photographs on my Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, or Website, and some give me permission to share their photographs to a private and protected online community for other clients to see.
I’ll need your approval before posting any photos from your sexy photography boudoir session, and I’ll let you know when they go live. You may also request the removal of the photographs at any time. It’s completely fine if you want to keep things secret; many of my clients do. Please be aware that I have taken extra security precautions in my house and on my computer to ensure that your photographs are safe in order to let you feel more at ease.
WILL THIS BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT HAVE A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON YOUR FAMILY IF SHARED?
I’ll start out by standing on my soapbox and arguing that the idea that sexuality is impure, disgusting, or embarrassing is out of date. It’s not; in fact, it’s quite lovely. However, if you hold this opinion, it might make sense for you to refrain from posting on your social media sites any images that are sexually suggestive or explicit. But it’s more intricate than that.
For instance, even if you currently have a wonderful relationship with your family, what will happen if they say something unpleasant or judgemental about your sexuality?
COULD YOUR BOUDOIR IMAGES HARM YOUR POSSIBILITIES OR FUTURE EMPLOYMENT?
This depends on your career. We don’t share nude photographs and our images are tastefully done. We can be as conservative or as risque as you want to be. But you are the one who needs to decide if having your photographs be made public will impact your current or future career.
HOW DOES YOUR SENSUAL PHOTO MAKE YOU FEEL?
Asking yourself if having this photo published online makes you feel uncomfortable can serve as a litmus test for whether or not you want your images shared. If you would feel uncomfortable having other people see your images, then don’t choose to share them. As much as I enjoy seeing women embrace their sexuality and feel strong and independent, I also want them to make the most of this opportunity. Meaning, if you are uncomfortable sharing them widely, show your images to those who will appreciate them rather than just random online strangers! Ensure that the individuals you share with will support and encourage you rather than criticize or harass you.
